My Writing
It is that time of month again when I share some writing prompts to help you beat the blank page.
What follows is a collection of dialog for any story you want to write. You can make it as funny, exciting, or even hazardous as you wish.
Here is to overcoming the blank page. October’s writing prompts.
1. “You have exactly one hour to convince me not to erase your memory.”
2. “The stars look different tonight, don’t they?”
3. “If I don’t make it out, tell them I went out laughing.”
4. “Please tell me that’s your shadow, not someone else’s.”
5. “What do you mean we’ve met before? I would remember someone like you.”
6. “I wish I could say I regret it, but I don’t.”
7. “The last thing I expected was for the monster to ask for help.”
8. “Everything about you was a lie, except for one thing—you loved me.”
9. “Don’t you wonder why none of us can remember the last five years?”
10. “The prophecy didn’t say anything about you being here.”
11. “If you open that door, there’s no going back.”
12. “The map wasn’t supposed to lead us here—this place doesn’t exist.”
13. “No, I’m not scared; I’m just… waiting for it to make the first move.”
14. “It wasn’t supposed to be you, but here we are.”
15. “You’ve been dead for three years—how are you standing in front of me?”
16. “Don’t trust anything you see after midnight.”
17. “I’m not from here, and neither are you.”
18. “I swear, I didn’t push him—he jumped on his own!”
19. “I didn’t steal the time machine; I borrowed it—there’s a difference!”
20. “Someone’s rewriting the past, and it’s starting with us.”
21. “I was told if I ever met you, I should run.”
22. “I’ve spent my whole life looking for you, and now that I’ve found you, I’m not sure why.”
23. “You don’t belong in this world; you never did.”
24. “This isn’t the place you think it is—it never was.”
25. “You’re the only one who can change what’s about to happen.”
26. “Everything you know about your life has been carefully constructed.”
27. “Why does every road lead back to you?”
28. “Tell me, what would you do if you knew the world was ending tomorrow?”
29. “You have two choices: walk away now, or learn the truth and never leave.”
30. “I’ve seen this before, in a dream… or maybe a nightmare.”
31. “This wasn’t an accident; it was a message.”
Happy Writing.
